The Desire to Inspire Foundation in partnership with Save the Young Girls Foundation, Impact Sierra Leone and The Global Impact Leadership Alliance will be holding our first ever DAY OF PURPOSE in Waterloo, Sierra Leone, West Africa.

This event will be a day filled with music, food, love, and much inspiration speakers who will be sharing their stories of triumphing over adversity to get to be where they are today.  Oprah says that everyone has a story and we believe that through sharing our stories we can inspire others to overcome challenges and thrive.

We will also be honoring Fatima Maada Bio, the first lady of Sierra Leone with the 2020 Changemaker Award for her tremendous support of the women and girls of Sierra Leone as well as several other inspired changemakers. Save The Young Girl Foundation Orphanage is a Community Based Organization (CBO) located in Waterloo, Sierra Leone that was founded in January 2017 by Susan Marie Sesay. The facility serves as a safe haven for young girls who have been abandoned through various unfortunate circumstances in life. It also provides emergency shelter for girl youth at need. The organization currently cares for approximately 30 girls between the ages of 5 and 14 years.
